The Current Z Discount Situation

As I write this, NikonUSA has backed off of aggressive discounting. The following is true as of July 20, 2020:

  • The Z50 is only discounted (US$150) in the two-lens kit.
  • The Z5 will be available at list price (US$1399 body only).
  • The Z6 has a US$200 instant rebate, whether as body only, with the kit lens, or in the Filmmaker's Bundle.
  • The Z7 is not discounted (though the MSRP has dropped to US$2799 over time).
  • If you buy an FTZ adapter with a camera, the adapter costs US$50 (or may be free in some cases, apparently).
  • No Z-mount lens is currently offered with a discount.
