Thom's Commentary: A good lens, but remember that it is not S-line, so don’t expect that level of optical performance. This lens works well on both DX (it’s nearly a fast normal lens at 42mm effective) and FX (it's a very small wide angle lens). I don’t call this lens size a pancake, but rather muffin size. The muffin size seems to be restricting the optics a bit, so while you get really good results out through the DX frame edge, the FX borders and corners never really snap.
