Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens Specifications

bythom 24-50mm

Thom's Commentary: The 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is a very small lens for a full frame zoom. Build quality is basically the lowest in the line, as the role of this lens is to serve as the lowest cost kit lens for cameras such as the Z5. Note that it extends from a very compact collapsed travel position for use, and that extends the front barrel outward significantly. There’s nothing exceptional about this lens, though I’d also point out that, so far, it’s the best small kit zoom from any maker optically. It also doesn't have focus breathing, so you’ll find it useful for vlogging. I tend to recommend other lenses unless you’re absolutely going for lowest size, lowest price. But even I have to admit that when I’m out with a full complement of long telephotos on a wildlife assignment, it’s really easy to carry this lens in a pocket or bag as an “emergency mid-range.” Read Thom's Full Review of the Nikon 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens
