Thom's Commentary: Nikon has a long history of updating its pro lens lines to what they consider state of the art. The second of the Z-mount lenses to get this rethinking is the 70-200mm f/2.8, which gains focus performance and image quality over an already excellent predecessor, while simplifying the optical formula, reducing the length a bit, and significantly reducing weight.
