
Thom's Commentary: Nikon has a long history of updating its pro lens lines to what they consider state of the art. The first of the Z-mount lenses to get this rethinking is the 24-70mm f/2.8, which gains focus performance and image quality over an already excellent predecessor, while simplifying the optical formula, reducing the front filter size, and reduced weight.
