The Z8 got a 3.11 firmware update today, which addressed three bugs, one releated to NX Tether, one related to High frequency flicker reduction, and one related to Manage Picture Control. Nothing I, nor probably most of you, have run into, but it’s still good that we’re seeing Nikon do the maintenance that we want on such a critical camera.
I should probably mention it again: if you experience a clear bug in any of the Z System cameras, please report it to me, particularly if it has reproducable steps to trigger. I’ve got an indirect but useful pipeline for reporting these things to HQ, and I’ve seen several things I’ve reported now fixed. No guarantees, as I don’t control what Nikon fixes, but at least I can make sure they get the information about something that’s not working right.
