Z50, Z6, and Z7 Firmware Updates

Nikon today released firmware updates for the Z50 (2.30), Z6 (3.50), and Z7 (3.50) cameras. The primary change is adding Save focus position and Recall focus position choices (for the telephoto lenses) that can be assigned to buttons. In addition, fixes for several known problems were included. Now if we could only get them to add AF-ON+AF area, we’d have a lot more control over the focus system.

Meanwhile, Nikon has also discovered issues with iOS 16.0.2 and SnapBridge. Z9 raw images can’t be deleted in the SnapBridge image gallery, and if multiple raw images are brought over on connection, Apple Photos will terminate when attempting to display them.
