The Z-Mount Tax

Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 for the Sony FE mount? US$499 (add another US$50 rebate this month)
Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 for the Nikon Z mount? US$699

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 for the Sony FE mount? US$899 (and it's the newer G2 optical formula)
Nikkor (Tamron in disguise) 28-75mm f/2.8 for the Nikon Z mount? US$1197 (add another US$200 rebate this month)

Clearly Nikon users are getting fleeced for a couple of extra Franklin's at the moment. And you wanted third party lenses ;~)

My take? Stop the non-optional additional tithing by skipping the Tamrons for the time being. You really don't want to condition the Japanese to extract extra flesh with each purchase. To help you out, I won't even link to the B&H page for the lenses here. If you really want to be flogged for more cash, you'll have to go into the lens database on this site and click from there for your flagellation urges.
